Project 1 ‘so it goes’——Maxwell Piccardo25.03.2024
Page by page, memories overlap and transform in the play of light and shadow. In “so it goes, so it goes”, Japanese photographer Mihoko Kajioka captures the fluidity of time, blurring the boundaries between past and present with images printed on transparent paper. As old images fade and new ones emerge, they mirror the way memories shift and reshape over time. This transformation is echoed in the clothing: pants become a shirt, a single coat hides two different jackets. Just as memories shape us and we shape them, the wearer and the garment exist in constant dialogue—an artistic exploration of the psychology of remembrance.
