Project 1 ‘so it goes’——Maxwell Piccardo25.03.2024
Page by page, memories overlap and transform in the play of light and shadow. In “so it goes, so it goes”, Japanese photographer Mihoko Kajioka captures the fluidity of time, blurring the boundaries between past and present with images printed on transparent paper. As old images fade and new ones emerge, they mirror the way memories shift and reshape over time. This transformation is echoed in the clothing: pants become a shirt, a single coat hides two different jackets. Just as memories shape us and we shape them, the wearer and the garment exist in constant dialogue—an artistic exploration of the psychology of remembrance.

KONICA C35MF
FOMAPAN 400
2022.11.4

She appears and disappears, caught between layers of time. A hand, a gaze, a movement interrupted. The camera faltered, overlapping moments that were never meant to meet, yet here they are—blurring into each other, refusing to stay still.

The mechanical glitch of the KONICA C35MF turned into something else entirely, creating an image that feels more like a memory than a photograph. Shadows slip through the cracks, faces dissolve and reform. It’s not just her that is fragmented—the whole moment is.

Maybe she’s hiding, maybe she’s revealing something. The lines between presence and absence, intention and accident, become impossible to define. But in that uncertainty, something real emerges.
Project 3 Forget to Go Homeforget about the date我和朋友狂欢在北京胡同的午夜。我们摄影,甚至都忘记了回家。

私は友達と北京の胡同で真夜中に狂欢した。

私たちは写真を撮り、帰ることさえ忘れてしまった。

My friends and I reveled in the midnight streets of Beijing’s hutongs.

We photographed endlessly, forgetting even to go home.

In the forest, I listen—
to the whisper of rain,
to the quietness of trees,
their voices woven into the wind.
